Howard Forest Emergency Command Center

The Howard Forest Emergency Command Center (MEU ECC), is operated by the California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection (CDF) and is located on Highway 101, 5 miles south of Willits.

Howard Forest ECC is a fully operational 911 Emergency Dispatch Center for Fire, Rescue, Medical (Emergency Medical Dispatching, EMD), Air Ambulance, and Hazardous Materials Incidents for Mendocino County.


In addition to dispatching all CDF resources within Mendocino County, Howard Forest ECC also dispatches 19 Local Government Fire Agencies, 7 Ambulance Agencies, CALSTAR 4 Air Ambulance, REHIT Hazardous Materials Team, and BLM Law Enforcement in Lake and Mendocino Counties.
